Uninspired

I'll be honest: I was tired last night. The kids had a great first day, but were tired, which meant swinging between crabby and bouncing off the walls. My husband didn't feel well. I had a pile of school paperwork to print out. And honestly - I just wanted the lunches made. These are lacking in creativity, but I know the boys will eat them.

J's box: A peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich on wheat bread. As much as I love cute cut-out sandwiches, I hate wasting all that bread, so my solution is to use the cookie cutter (in this case a guitar) as a stamp. Looks cool. No waste. He also has some Puffcorn, grapes, carrots, a berry, and an Oreo.

N's box: Since he didn't finish his lunch yesterday, I tried to pack a little less. N. loves (loves) hard-boiled eggs. That makes things easy for me because at the beginning of the week, I always boil some up for salads and snacking. And school lunches :-) He also has a few slices of pepperoni in addition to the same sides as J.

If nothing else, I am confident these lunches will be well-received and will get the boys through the afternoon.
